Will Denso fix my P0136?

Got a P0136 code today. From what I've read it looks to be the rear Oxygen Sensor. So it looks like I can get a Toyota one for about $120, or $40 off this Denso Oxygen Sensor from Advance for about $85. The Denso says it's OE Style. Think it's as good as getting from form Toyota?

You can get it cheaper than $85 online. Especially if you buy the sensor only (no plug for the toyota wiring harness, solder on the old one.) Shop around. And yes, Denso makes the OEM O2 sensors for Toyota. You might want to confirm that the P0136 [Oxygen O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Bank 1, Sensor 2)] can be fixed by throwing a new O2 sensor at it. Hold out for some other members to respond.

yes, pretty much all are same.

I know Autozone sometimes carries Denso products, bought a set of Denso OE spark plugs once from them (Denso Double Platinum I think).

you can also check the Denso part number for your car and look for it on ebay and amazon. all of them are new, never used, original parts.

http://www.densoaftermarket.com/catalog/catalog.php

Denso 234-4137, I think I got it off ebay at $44 once.

how about this:

@ 65 shipped free

or from Amazon @ 67 shipped free:
Amazon Amazon

Now when Denso says it's OE Style does that mean it plugs into Toyota's O2 plug? I'm not cutting wires.

yes, and since it's Denso, it should be same as OEM (just no Toyota logo on it).
make sure what Denso part number you are getting, I posted it above.

Universal Type o2 sensors have no plug and need to be spliced with old plug.
OE Type is a plug and play.

yes, the downstream sensor (post-cat) is always a normal thimble type oxygen sensor. it's same between California vs Federal emission specs and usually same between V6 and i4.

Hey guys,
I'm reviving this older thread because my mom has a 2001 3.0L camry with the same P0136 code. I have been doing some reading and think I can get the Denso 234-4209 for about half of what the 234-4137OEM w/ pigtail would cost me. Is it easy to solder the pig tail on? I have soldered before and have the tools to do so... Just wanted to make sure it was a couple quick soldiers and nothing more serious...???

Also is there only 1 O2 sensor I need to replace for this code? or should I do the others at the same time? Mom's camry is probably getting close to 130-150K miles and this is probably the first o2 sensor that has gotten replaced.

Also is this an easy plug and play or is there a bunch of junk in the way that I'll have to remove to get to the O2 sensor itself???

Thanks!
Nathan

Yes, easily removed, and connected to the original wire connector.

There is only one sensor after catalytic converter. check ebay, amazon, rock auto, sparkplugs.com for prices.

I had that same code a couple months back and changing the o2 sensor didn't fix it. It's obviously directly related to it, but replacing both front and rear sensor didn't help. Not sure what to do about it.
