Question keyless entry fix???

The previous owner of my 98 camry for whatever reason disabled the alarm and keyless entry on the car, now when I lock and unlock the car I actually have to use the key. (I know im lazy) Again im not sure why or how he did this but I would really like to just use the remote to lock and unlock my car.

Thanks

OEM system or aftermarket? If your not sure, pics or the remote and/or the numbers on the back of it always help.
