4th Generation Aftermarket Tow Hooks

Since I always look here for information, I thought I'd ask. So, I'm lowered by about 1.2 inches in the front and about 1 inch in the back, and that seems to be enough where I scrape the front tow hooks when exiting my parking lot. I do angle when exiting, but sometimes its not an option when someone is about to come in. So my question is, does anyone have any experience with aftermarket tow hooks, as I want to remove the front tow hooks, and how to install them? As well as where would be a suitable place to look for them, or is ebay the only place.

Thanks for your help

Get underneath your car and confirm the tow hooks are scraping. It should be obvious if they're scratched up. You should also see how to remove them (I believe it's just 2 bolts). New tow hooks either bolt onto the frame, or they can be welded on. I don't know if you'll be able to find ones that attach to the OEM location though.

The Tow hooks should be installed on the existing Tow Points of the vehicle. More than likely its in the right spot.

What brand tow-hooks are you using?

Have any pictures?

Also, if you end up having to remove them .. I would suggest just purchasing a Tow strap instead

unfortunately I can't take pictures right because my car is in the shop, but I was able to find some pic that can hopefully show what I'm talking about. Also I know its been scrapping because I repaint the hooks everytime.

The first pic is another car but it shows where the tow points are. There is also one on the passenger side

and the second is my car and from what I can see the red box is where the tow point is connected to the car it looks like its welded
