P0773 code trouble

I have a 1996 Camry wagon V6. I have the P0773 CEL code. It went on shortly after I went to get an oil change at Jiffey Lube. Unfortunately that was two years ago and I am now addressing it because of my emissions test. Since then, I have obviously had oil changes every 3k and it is still there. I had the transmission fluid flushed recently and that it is still there.

I have printed out the logic test. I have gone to a couple mechanics and they all refer to a transmission shop. However, the solenoid valve SL seems to be somewhat accessible and the first two steps seem like they can be done without dropping the pan. (Granted I have no mechanic experience)

I have an appointment with the dealer because I am not sure what else to do. Could it be the spark plugs, fuel filter, PCV valve? I figured maybe replacing the stuff I should be maintaining before doing elsewhere. I even read in another post, these Jiffey Lube guys not reconnecting hose to the ccv valve. I can't imagine this being the case for two years, but probably worth a check.

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

P0773 Shift Solenoid E Electrical

look to the front side of the trans there should be a roundish boxy connector with 4 pins in it make sure that is connected tight or else your going to need to drop the transpan and replace it. doing all that other stuff is good for the car but wount solve your issue

I think on the V6 it's on the inside. The I4 has the TCC lock solenoid by the neutral safety switch, which is easier to check and test.
