3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I was just curious to see if anyone can recommend me some fog lights for a gen3 camry or if they've done their own mod to put fog lights on their gen3. I also had a question...I saw a Lexus es 300 with stock fog lights...will those bolt on to the gen3 camrys?
The Lexus was the same year model as the gen3 camrys.
JDM one piece headlights! The Japanese headlights use different bulbs and a different set up. Where OUR high beams are, the Jdm headlights are fog lights. The light pattern is actually lower than the low beams. And on the Jdm headlights, where OUR low beam is, the Jdm headlights use a dual filament bulb for high/low. I need to take a pic of the headlights up against a wall....
Can't be anymore OEM than that!
But no, the ES300 fog lights will not bolt up to our camry's. there is no OEM fog option and all of ours are custom. Some choose to use alero fogs (which look better than most options already) and some.. myself, and like two other people, have accord fog lights retrofitted into our bumpers. I have a diy on how to do it but it is for the 95-96 bumper, which is slightly different than the 92-94 bumper. search alero fogs, but the accord option is cheaper and personally i think it looks more OEM than anything else.
No offense taken.. don't see how it's sloppy in any way but to each his own.
JDM headlights are not only hard to come by.. they don't even look nice IMO. Being rare shouldn't make it sought after.. also you can never upgrade to DEPO's...
If you want fog lights, I'd expect them to be lower to the ground since you wouldn't want light shining right back at you and you'd actually want it lighting up the ground. Go for alero or the one's i did, that's my take!
I think all of our fog light options can be improved upon. However it is based solely the owner's taste. I have seen all types of foggies on Camry's everywhere from generic autozone ones to OEM JDM ones. Dude, research and find a style you like first, then make a decision based upon that. Style: Side Bumper Ducts, Grille Mount, Bumper Grille Mount, OEM JDM. Then choose amongst these options...
Bumper Grille
Iovay's is the Side Bumper Ducts
as well as these ALEROS
I have not found a pic of lights behind the grille but I have seen them....
Good luck w/ ur choice.
