Sure. If the play in the bearing is more than 0.010" (~.254mm) then they should be replaced.
In the US it's about $32 USD each. A shop can properly press out the oil bearing and the new one back in for about $30-40 USD if you bring them the knuckles (~$150 both sides). There are also rental tools allowing the DIYer to do the bearing swap.

However, if you need to have the shop remove/install the steering knuckle, then my guess is about 2 hours of labor plus the cost of the parts? Depending on the labor rate, maybe $200-300? Not all shops can properly do a bearing swap so be careful where you go.

My question is when should I get them done ?
Ive jacked up the car and spun both wheels, there is no grinding/crunching noise but I do notice a little shimmer through the wheel when braking lightly at 60kmh ? Is this a sign that my bearings are giving way ?
Ive got new pads and discs on so I dont think its warped discs or uneven pads ?
How much would I be looking at roughly to get them done through a garage ?
Thanks.
