Bad heater control valve on '94 LE

I can see some coolant loeaking from the top of the heater control valve which is located just outside on the drivers side firewall. Is this a dealer only part? Has anyone replaced one of these before?

The coolant leaks from the top of it then runs down the hose and onto the ground. Oh and the radiator has a slight leak as well but I was already aware of that one. So I have enough to keep me busy now.

No, you can buy an aftermarket heater control valve from rockauto for about $35+shipping (under Heating and Air Conditioning):
http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=815522

Or $55 if you want the metal bracket too:
http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=815518

Notice the plastic housing says "Denso". If the part is still the one pictured you're getting OEM. Do check with the dealers, maybe they have a better deal, especially online ones selling in the forum.

Well I was suprised to find out my local AutoZone has this in-stock for $39.99.
I honestly thought it would be a dealer only part. I guess it's a commonly failed part but I haven't replaced one before.
