USA pwr door locks are possessed on '95 camry

The pwr door locks just gone nuts on my 95 camry. When I try to lock the door with any inside button they lock and unlock repeatedly for 30-40 seconds. I cannot lock the doors anymore with the inside lock buttons. When I unlock or lock the door with the key it will start the lock/unlock thing. Once it stops its lock dance always in unlck position if I try to lock it the whole process stats again.

Its a good car. I am original owner, 210K mi, well maintained, uses no oil. How do I stop this lock unlock possession? Is there a way to disable the pwr locks w/o messing with the pwr windows? I would be happy if I can just manually lock the doors from now on. It will start the lock/unlck dance cycle if I try to lock it while driving down the road. I am trying to get 250K mi. out of the car without too much more money. Help please, anyone??

This happened to me last year (left sunroof cracked open on new years). Probably some condensation in your wiring. Leave it in your garage for a few days if you can, see if that helps

All the problems i've had relating to my power door locks have been related to sticking switches or locks. First time was the centre console switch sticking down in the unlock position, took me a while to realise it was stuck - probably due to me spilling some sugary drink in there. Second time was the LHR door (the door at which my 3 year old sits at). For some reason it was moving way slower than the other locks when locked or unlocked, and sticking half way between sometimes. The car would appear to lock, i'd walk away and the alarm went off. That one I figured out straight away as I immediately checked all four locks using the manual switch on centre console. It was obvious that one was out of time. I think maybe he forced the switch from inside or got something sticky in there off his fingers. In both cases a spray of lube and a bit of a clean fixed it.

Good luck!

USA

The demon possession seems to have passed for now. It did start after I washed it, so maybe I did get something in there. It was OK last night and today--so maybe somehow something got wet.

Thanks for your time.

Mine did this too. Just seems to be a small troll living in the car from time to time. It didn't bother me.
