The original power steering pump was leaking at the shaft and we replaced it. Now, it has assist at any speed above idle. At idle, the assist disappears. I don't know if we could have done something wrong or if it is a matter of a defective manufactured pump. Has anyone ever had anything similar? We drove it for about 20 miles, checked fluid level, the belt, they seemed fine. There were no leaks, so I am just confused as to whether it is the pump or something I did. Appreciate any suggestions.... Mike
