3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
After the last night blizzard, I try to dig out my 98 Camry today. When backing out the car, I found some fluid leaks and saw the light yellow fluid on the snow. What is that?
BTW, I got the oil changed two days ago at dealer. Is this related to the oil change?
I would bring it back to them. Either they didn't tighten the filter enough, or it's double gasketed, or the drain plug is loose/no washer, it could be a bunch of stuff.
Didn't someone on TN here, recently snap a brake-line or something moving their car out of a snow drift? Make sure your brakes work properly before going too far....
EDIT: Although this looks to have come down about where the oil drain plug would be? is the fluid pictured from the centre of the engine bay or closer to either of the front wheels?

It's pictured from the centre.
Anyway, I will go to the dealer tomorrow morning. This is the first time I got oil changed at this dealer. Fortunately, it's not far from where I live.

Nah, their exhaust had some built up rust / material on it and when it was hot it transferred to the snow. I'm pretty sure that's the TN member ur talking about anyways

Thanks for Mister_Perkins and Chris Crash reminder. I check the oil level before I begin to drive my car these two days. The strange thing is that I could not see the leak anymore. AND I found the car next to mime has the same problem that day, any my neighbor's 98 Camry had the same problem. I'm wondering if this is a common problem which I don't know.
I could not get in the dealer yesterday because of the pile of the snow at the entrance. I hope they clean the snow and I could get in and have my car checked.
