2000 Camry SRS code 14

All,

I have a 2000 Camry that I got from my father that has very little MX. It sat for a few months in Miami before I got it. On the drive home I got a the Air Bag warning light. I have the factory manual. As I read it ...
The code 14 is some part of the steering wheel, spiral cable, sensor, or wiring harness. It refers to step 1 on page DI 788 that has you disconnect many things.

Am I reading this correct? Any insights on fixing this?

Tomorrow I will be following this to the letter but I am hoping in some hints for what may be wrong or some time/effort saving hints.

Thanks,
Joe

Yup, thats what SRS code 14 indicates. Follow the steps and be careful not to kill yourself by not disconnecting the battery for 90 seconds and deploying the airbags in your face. lol
