They look somewhat like seat warmers, but those are definitely for heated mirrors. Totally a good mod, but one of those a lot of work for little gain projects. I'd be worried if I never had practice taking out the glass mirror either.

instead of using the toggle switch it comes with, why dont you purchase an OEM switch / Pigtail and wire it to that? then it would look like it came with it

or retrofit one from another vehicle :::

You could wire it to the rear defroster button, thats how it works on my avalon.

the defrost method would actually be better I think. Only thing there is you may have to run a relay and use the defrost as a trigger rather than running straight voltage.

regardless, heated mirror mod will be pretty neat

Battery heater but you're in CA. Seat warmer? Again...you're in CA. It doesn't get THAT cold.

So next guess would be mirror defrosters. I wish I had some of those haha.
