Hi,

I was wondering if the on the 4th gen Camry / 1st gen Solara you're able to monitor engine misfire in real time with a OBD II scanner? If so, which PID(s)?

I think you can...with a good scanner like a Snap On or something. But probably not with the one you can just plug into your laptop and use free software with...

you can see live datagrams or graphs of selected PIDs on laptop screen like this:

or this

also giving you trouble codes:

and internal monitoring status:

PC laptop (USB) to OBD2 adapter on ebay, like $30 from Hong Kong or Taiwan. software usually comes with it

Yeah, I've already ordered one, I think the ELM 5, guess going to have to see what it all can do with the supplied software. Thanks for your input.
