Transmission help

I didn't really want to start a new thread, but thought I may get an extra pair eyes on this thread, and find someone that may be able to help.

Does anyone know if it is possible to disconect the transmission from the motor, and slide it over far enough to get the crankshaft out.
I do not have the space, ability or money to get a hoist to pull the motor and trans as a unit.
So if I don't have to pull them out and still get the crank out would be exteemly helpful!!

Thanks!!

if you have some jack stands you could drop the subframe and pull the transmission out the bottom then remove the crankshaft. That's what i would do if I didnt have an engine hoist.
