Bigger rear brakes on a gen 4?

Just curious who here has done the bigger rear brake upgrade and what your opinions on it are/were. I need to do brakes here shortly and need to do something about my rears. Debating on whether to stay with stock sized pads/rotors or upgrade. FYI: I got a 99 camry v6. I believe the upgraded brakes are off of a gen 3 camry wagon v6 and consist of larger rotors and calipers but not 100% certain. Haven't been on this forum in months. Didn't know if you guys who have gone this route noticed any improvement in stopping as far as less front biased braking or best to leave the rears stock and just run a more aggressive pad

IIRC the v6 brakes are about the same between the gen4 and gen3. what we do is upgrade the rotor to the es300 rotor and larger pads which fit on the gen3 v6 caliper. search that upgrade and youll find all the details. i did it on my car and the rear seemed to brake a little better, less weight transfered to the front wheels under braking.

Thanks, Big Bird. I guess after reading another thread on here where the poster noticed the wagon brakes werent any biggger it's left me somewhat skeptical.

^ We corrected that. The wagon's rear brakes are bigger than the gen 3/4 sedan.

92-96 ES300 rears = 92-96 V6 Wagon rears. But be sure to MEASURE the rotors to be sure. The diameter can be found on rockauto.com
