Lifters question

Am currently doing the headgasket, timing belt and waterpump on my 93 Camry...4 cyl...2.2L...and when I brought the head to the machine 3 to 4 Lifters came out. Does it matter a lot the exact location? If so were can I find out I put it in the right place...?

Well .. the only important part is lining the notch on the side of the lifter towards the spark plug. You are going to have to make sure you have the correct clearance though once you get the cams in place. If they are not adjusted correctly (Right size shim on the bucket) you will either have a tapping sound, or too much lift and it can bend your camshaft.

For reference:

Intake Clearance (Cold)
0.19-0.29mm (0.007-0.011 in.)
Exhaust
0.28-0.38mm (0.011-0.015 in.)
