4th Generation Threw a rod bolt??? Yay

Well i got up this morning to get ready for work we got like 2 inches of ice and went to warm up my car let it sit for a good 15 mins warming up pulled out of the driveway and took off about 6 feet down the road bam motor stops . i get out to look and bam big hole in the oil pan awsome . also i have no engine balancer i took it out when i rebuilt the motor last year so i know thats not the problem im pulling it out today ill post some pics and find out if im right on the rod bolt 98 camry 2.2

Oh yeah my car never leaks oil and only had about 1k miles on this oil change and i know there ws enough oil just from how much was on the ground

Ouch. Are these newer 5SFE rod bolts torque to yield?

when i replaced them i torque to the books specs maybe they where wrong idk im a transmission mechanic so i know i didnt do them wrong but things happen as soon as i get that pan off ill know for sure and know if ill have to pull the motor

Well i got the motor out and bam well it bent the rod im not to the point to tell is i can reuse the block i hope so the rod got riped out of the piston and nicked up the crank so if anyone has a block for sale let me know would be great.

well after further look i think i can hone it slap another crank and rod in it and run it post ur opinoins plz i could really use it i love my camry to death and ill do anything to keep it going

I got a crankshaft if you need one.. Motor had low compression on cylinder 1 because of stuck rings. Might be easier to just buy a new one for $200.00 thats already machined but I got one if ya need one.

well i got a std crank that i can use from a 80k motor but the block is broke so all i really need is a block if i cant use my own im at work atm and been really busy but im trying to get the pics on.
