4th Generation 2001 burnt gauge cluster bulbs

I'm new here and just got a 2001 camry with 201k miles for very cheap. About half of my gauge cluster isn't lit up and it looks horrible, even my "drive" indicator light on the left side of the cluster is burnt out. every other gear lights up except Drive since its the one thats used the most.

My question is, after i remove the two screws on the top of the dash, what do i do to access the rear of the gauge cluster? Also, are the bulbs themselves green or are they white/yellow? on my previous vehicle the bulbs were white and the overlays were painted green. I'm curious on that because I'll be swapping to LED's which will be brighter and last longer.

My floor shifter indicator lights are also out so if someone knows how to tackle that too that would be great.

Thanks.

Here are some DIYs for you:

1. *DIY* 97 Cluster LED Swap
2. Gen 4-4.5 DIY Changing your bulbs inside your center console
3. http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t100756.html

The bulbs in cluster are clear, but they have green rubber over them. Be careful when removing it, if the bulbs are pretty old the rubber could stuck to them and may rip during removal.

after you remove 2 philips screws (self tapping) from top, then you pull out the trim (it's just clipped in). the cluster itself i held by 4 smaller philips screws (regular), after removal and some wiggling and tilting you will eventually pull the cluster out (be creful not to damage wire plugs on back of it!)

the "green" bulbs are actually Toshiba 194/G9 bulbs (can be replaced by Sylvannia Silverstar 194LL) wearing a thin green rubber coats

you can easily replace them with LED clusters from sites like here in any color you like:
