Out of a pretty big impulse, I sold my camry on monday. Keep in mind it already had front end damage when I bought it and the hood latch didnt work, and it had hood pins, and no airbag, and 180k miles, and I sold it for 2,200. I could have asked more, but I sold it in about 2 hours. I wanted to sell it quick because I used the money to buy this....
haha I love it. This is actually the second time I've owned it. But I did scout a camry down the road from my house sitting beside someones house looking forgotten. I may try and get it off the guy once I have a little more cash saved up

It's a 300 straight six with a 5 speed manual. The tires are actually right for the rims, the angle looks weird in that pic though. It's got 33x 12.50's on I think they're 10.5 or 12 inch wide rims. They look stretched in this picture but they aren't.
That's a good looking ranger. I have a 94 extended cab project I'm working on (well not working on but its sitting there). The body and interior are great, it was my dads old truck, but I'm going to swap a 4.0 or a 5.0 into it when I get some extra cash and time. I already pulled the old worn out 2.3 and trans.

nice. you can make those straight 6's a powerhouse if done correctly. they're nice. I had 33x12.5s on my truck. it was a 99 and i swapped the front end to a 2003, explorer dual power leather seats, so much stuff done and now its all gone. Good luck with your project. a 5.0 swap should be easy on a 94 since it doesnt have the PATS system.
Yea I love the 300 inline. I've already done some stuff to it the first time I owned it. I upgraded the coil to an msd blaster and a brass dist. cap and rotor, put fat 8mm plug wires on it and widened the gap on the plugs to do a base timing bump on it for some extra power. People do it to the 302's all the time. It gave me some extra power, and I split the y pipe and ran true dual exhaust to glasspacks and dumps underneath, no cats. I bypassed the emissions air pump and blocked off the egr. Even with the 33's and the retarded 2.47 gears it has, I can still break the tires lose in first and chirp it in second.
Hey man, too bad to see ya get rid of the camry. I bet in a couple months your going to wish you had the camry though.. hehe Gas is expensive especially in something that heavy with big tires.
Yea I think I'm going to get another project camry to work on if I can find a cheap one. Gas is 3.14 a gallon here now. But this truck gets around 16 mpg which really isnt terrible for its size.

Go for the 5.0. Its a sick swap basically bolt on from an exploder. Theres a video of a 4cyl base white ranger swapped with the 5.0 and it is the definition of sleeper.
The 4.6 doesnt work fyi. But basically any 5.0 works, keep it rwd since dealing with the front driveshaft is a pain.
