3rd Generation Another Strange Leak!

Yesterday I got underneath the front of the car & removed the splash pan because when I start up the car in the morning with the remote car starter, to pre-heat before I drive off, I have noticed a few drops of coolant comming from the right front end towards the passenger side front tire, but in about 5-6 inches. I ended up tightening the radioator pet-**** since it was a little loose. It drips from the right front end frame rail onto splash pan. However, I am still getting a few drips. Note-It only leaks when the engine is bone cold, after it warms up the leak stops! I have never seen anything like that before!.....

You could try buying some UV reactive dye to add, then trace the leak using blacklights. I can't say for sure if it would cause any coolant problems; I don't think it will though, as it is often sold in auto-parts stores. However, resist the urge to use any sort of stop leak, as they have a tendency to totally gum up everything (2 coolant flushes and new radiator for me).

Is it dropping from the petcock drain area? A new o-ring may be needed on the petcock and the drain hole may have some debris.
