1994 Camry le V6 horrible mileage

Hey guys i have the 1994 camry le v6, it is giving me horrible gas mileage,,i barely get 370KM to the tank, it is sudden that this happend,,9 months ago i replaced the following things on the car

- NGK iridium Spark plugs
- Fuel filter
- PCV valve
- Air Filter
- Throttle body Cleaning
- Injector Cleaning
- Timing belt and water pump
- brand new breaks and rotors
- Valve cover gaskets
- Exhaust flex pipe
- 4 new Toyo Spectrum Tires
- Tranny Flush (Toyota Dealership)

At the time the car has 264 539 KM and now it has 301 212 KM, i do regular oil changes on my own every 5000k 5W30 Castrol GTX, and air filter i changed twice in 9 months theres no engine light nothing, car still drives normally, no difference in power, I looked around the car under the hood couldnt really see any loose pipes or wires. But the gas consumption is horrible,,at one point i was getting 320KM to the tank and now i jus did highway driving and i got a total of 372KM to the tank. i dont want to go back to the shop, already spent alot of money on the car, i searched thru the forums and couldnt find anything, Please help.

How long does the car take to warm up? Has the thermostat been replaced recently?

I havent replaced the thermostat, takes about 10mins on a cold day -6C. I have flushed my coolant already though, the levels are perfect and heat works perfectly

You don't specify what type of driving your doing (city/highway), or how much you mean by a tank (45-60 litres?), but if your not running the tank dry, thats about 20-22mpg. Not bad really for short city driving trips in cold weather. My 93LE V-6 gets about 330km on 50 litres, or about 19mpg in short city driving trips.

Change your 02 sensors if they're original. They gradually lose effectiveness around 100K miles.

It just looked again at the OP and you are getting crappy highway milage, I get 600-650km on a 50 litre fill. You did all the right stuff for a long term tune-up. O2 sensors do get less precise over time, but generally not in such a sudden way unless the throttle body and injector cleaning knocked alot of junk off that may have messed them up. Also you should check the condition of the boot between your Mass Airflow Sensor and throttle body. Its possible that while removing and replacing them to clean your throttle body, it was torn or possibly cracked. At this high of milage its maybe getting a bit stiff and brittle. I think though that you might get a "check engine " light on that from your OBD2 system. (mines a gen3) Other than that I can't think of anything else other than the engine starting to take a dive in compression due to wear. 300K km is the equivalent to 180K miles. Maybe a compression check is in order?

is car running smooth?
how about leave your engine alone and check everything around the wheels?

things that cause roll resistance or poor tire contact with ground, so check for bad wheel bearings and dragging brakes (check slide pins first), even boaty struts/springs will have some impact.

^+1 Defininitely check to see if you have brake or bearing dragging issues as well, at high milage bearing or caliper seizing will absolutely or tend to show up at or after brake jobs. (at least if they are not done thouroughly)

WOW thanks for the replies guys, soo after living in this neighborhood for 13 years,,i finally find out my neighbor is a Lexus Mechanic lol, so he saw me lookin through my car and asked me whats wrong, i told him exactly everything i told u guys here and he started cheking things in my car and found 3 Major problems,
1. The intake pipe was torn, couldnt tell untill he took it out and showed me the rubber broken, so he used some silver and black tape and now the car sounds much quieter,
2. The front right caliper was seizing up, therfore causing too much resistance, so i just got both front calipers re-finished, and breaks and rotors changed once again
3. My fuel tank has got a bad leak from getting old and rusting out. so i bought another fuel tank from the junk yard and got that installed, and now no more leaks

now Finally on a full tank i achieved a decent 546KMS city and highway mixed! on a 60L tank

WOW after all the money i spent tuning the car up, i was surprised to see how many more things had gone wrong loll, and now ma neighbour was also recomennding to change all 4 of my struts, but thats an expensive job im sure i can live without that for a while
