My daughters 4 cyl, auto, 2000 Solara wouldn't start this AM. All the bells and whistles worked but nothing happenend when the iginition was turned.

I moved the shifter and tried it again and she fired right up. Searching the forum I found the thread by "Mister Perkins" on how to remove and clean the NSS. That is on the agenda.

I have noticed that the shifter has not been "clicking" into place when placed in D. Can I and how would I adjust the shifter linkage?

Hi Jeff, in order to Adjust the shift linkage you simply loosen the bolt attached to the transmission and move the shift linkage up or down and Tighten the nut.

To adjust the Neutral Safety Switch origin, you loosen the two outside 10mm bolts circled in yellow and rotate the NSS Slightly either direction. (Dont mind the middle circle.. That is to remove the NSS From the transmission)
