speedo, and other questions????

97 camry.....speedo quit, is there a fuse for it or is it something else?
will 96 steering wheels fix my 97??
when pressing door lock button the drivers door lock
sometimes will not lock the drivers door, kinda like lock sticking
but it only happens sometimes....lock is trying to lock as you can
hear it and see it try to move.

It does receive power via a fuse. ECU-IG is likely it, but I'm not sure on a Camry.

The speedo is electro-mechanical. That is, the gear is mechanically driven, yet the output is electric. Automatics usually have one for the speedo and one for transmission itself (mainly for the A/T portion of the ECU). Some don't, however.

Usually speedo failures involve a failure of the speedo gear itself since it's plastic, but others can be the actual speedo unit in the instrument panel.

Most toyota steering wheels are interchangeable. The issue is whether or not the cruise control and airbag wiring is compatible. I'd stick with the same vintage steering wheel.
