So is there a glove box light?

Forgive me if it's been asked before, I searched and found 0 results.

I always thought there was a glove box light, but I go outside and check, and I see no light emitting out from any bulb, nor can I see a bulb anywhere.

Maybe I'm just blind but I swear there was a light somewhere in the glove box. Hell Sylvania's site says it's a 37/T5 bulb.

I've got one in my 96. The glove box light only turns on if I have at least the running lights on, and I open the glove box. Other than that it stays off.

Oh I didn't try that...brb.

Ah so it's only on when the headlights are and it's hidden.

I guess you have to take the glovebox off to access it. If I take the glovebox out, does it interfere with anything (airbag etc.)? Maybe I should disconnect the negative cable in case. All in all for a tiny light it might not be worth it lol.

There is a light, yes. Mine burned out.

Taking the glove box out won't hurt anything, nothing's attached. So you need not unplug the battery. It's 4 screws and a 10 mm nut, then it snaps out.
