3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
It was raining on the I-5. A few cars ran into each other before me. Not enough distance for me to brake, I tried changing lane. Damn, one of the hit car was pushed a bit into the second lane... I turned the wheel and lost the control (may or may not hit by another car behind me). I spun 180 degree and still ran into the car side to side. Luckily, no ones got hurt. But my 94 wagon ... I am only half covered ...
My passenger side front fender, front door panel, rear door panel, and rear side got warped and dented. I lost my passenger side mirror. The car still runs fine.
I am thinking of replacing the front fender, a new mirror and knocking out the dents... I want some advice on good places to get those parts and tools. Better find a body shop to do it? I imagine it would cost a fortune...
Sigh

you could probably pic up the fenders and doors from a junkyard for cheap, then have a body shop smash out the rear quarter and paint everything. im assuming the doors are the same as the sedan, at least the front should be.
I don't know any good junkyard near Seattle... Anyone know? How much would that cost?
And how much would the body shop cost for smash and paint? There seem to be a lot of painting work.
Getting that rear quarter fixed just alright is gonna cost 1000$ at a ok shop.
Get a new fender, mirror and doors. Bolt on and easy to do, if you dont mind driving around with a beat up ride im sure you could track down ones that are the same color.
For the rear quarter just remove all the interior paneling behind it and pound it out slowly. It'll look much better.
Even if you had collision they would probably consider it totaled.

Unfortunately, they are not going to pay for it. I am still in school and need to save it for two or three years.
Atually, that doesnt look that bad. I bet its the fender that is keeping the front door from opening. And worst comes to worst, you an replace the doors. ITs the rear 1/4panel that has me worried though, thats alot of dents. If it were me, i would do the fender and mirror myself, and try to do the doors aswell, but have the rear done by a shop. Good Luck

To get it done well and painted will cost you.
You can replace some of these parts yourself, but then you have to color match them which will be difficult. So you will either drive with odd color doors / fender or try to paint them.
I would just push out and straighten the q/p out and get the fender to where it doesn't catch the door and just drive it like that.
NOOOO! Poor wagon!
Since the doors and front fender are the same as the sedan, like it has been said, look for scrapyards and you could save some hefty cash on the front. AS for the rear, do as carsrus has said using a rubber hammer. After, you can always use body filler and lots of sanding to make it look good again. Good luck and KEEP THAT WAGON!
