ok....so i bought a 99 solara an it did not come with the any remote entry fobs...how do i determine if the car rolled off the line with keyless entry or not???

if it did i will buy new OE fobs for it

I have good news for you

most likely your ride is equipped with Toyota VIP RS3000 alarm system with keyless entry

check this TSB, there is also a chance you may have a factory alarm but that applies only to cars equipped with engine immobilizers (different ECU) and was usually installed by factory on higher trims SLE and V6 models. SE models were usually coming with dealer/port installed RS3000 system.

look for Toyota Security panel with red LED below the ashtray and cig lighter. I f you have it then you most likely have the complete alarm system in there.

RS3000 uses this kind of key fobs as described in TSB (gray color, NOT black!!!) the FCC ID number you can look for on ebay is BAB237131-022.
