Sunroof issues

When I first got my car, the sunroof worked fine. Then, a long, skinny rubber piece came out of it when I went to open and close it. I cant figure out where it goes. Now, when I press the button to close it, it almost shuts all the way, but it stops and opens again. It'll try to close once more, but fails. I have to hold the button down, or sometimes use my hand to close it when it's to that point where it'll fail to close. Also, there is a sound of an air leak coming from the right side of the sunroof when it's closed.

There could be something still there (part of the rubber part you're talking about), that is not allowing it to close (safety feature) when it has stopped and you press the button to fully close it Ironically, an elevator I was on last week, did the same exact thing (had to hold the door close button, while pushing the floor number button at the same time) As for the air leak, that could be that long skinny rubber part you're talking about.
