3rd Generation ECU Compatability

Hey guys, I was hoping someone has some info on what ECUs are interchangeable for a 93 camry 3vz. The one I have now is part# 89661-33121 which I believe is Federal and Canada emissions.

The local junk yards here dont have any 3vz camrys here only a few 92-93 es300's.

So after some digging and several dealerships later...

89661-33120[92 camry/es300 3VZ-FE A/T Federal DX, LE, XLE model J-Vin]
89661-33121[93 camry/es300 3VZ-FE A/T Federal DX, LE, XLE model J-Vin]
89661‑06020[92 camry/es300 3VZ-FE A/T Federal DX, LE, XLE model 4-Vin]
89661‑06021[93 camry/es300 3VZ-FE A/T Federal DX, LE, XLE model 4-Vin]

89661-33140[92 camry/es300 3VZ-FE A/T California DX, LE, XLE model J-Vin]
89661-33141[93 camry/es300 3VZ-FE A/T California DX, LE, XLE model J-Vin]
89661-06040[92 camry/es300 3VZ-FE A/T California DX, LE, XLE model 4-Vin]
89661-06041[93 camry/es300 3VZ-FE A/T California DX, LE, XLE model 4-Vin]

89661-33180[92 camry/es300 3VZ-FE A/T Federal SE model J-Vin]
89661-33181[93 camry/es300 3VZ-FE A/T Federal SE model J-Vin]
89661‑06091[92-93 camry/es300 3VZ-FE A/T Federal SE model 4-Vin]

89661-33190[92 camry/es300 3VZ-FE A/T California SE model J-Vin]
89661-33191[93 camry/es300 3VZ-FE A/T California SE model J-vin]
89661‑06101[92-93 camry/es300 3VZ-FE A/T California SE model 4-Vin]

I wonder what the tuning difference is between the XLE and SE!

Found more info

I believe cali emissions cars have a leaner fuel mixture as well, I know they take different injectors. So keep that in mind.

Go to www.car-part.com and do your digging there. Tons of ECU's to be had, I finally found one for my 5 speed...just waiting on shipping!

Ok, so i managed to pull a 89661-33181 from a 93 ES300. the guys at the yard were nice enough to let me swap it in before I bought it, so i did and it solved my problem.

Second gear i missed you so much! I may have picked up 5hp from the lexus/SE tune as well :P
