Did i Just fix my EGR code p0401

A while ago i had all the main engine seals replaced and shortly after getting it back my check engine light came on so i took it to advance autoparts and it was the p0401 code for insufficient egr flow.

Finally today I got around to looking into it and took the plastic cover off and just about immediately I noticed a wire that was just not connected.
You can see in the picture below the orange connector that is just hanging
loose which is how i found it. So I just plugged it in and reset the battery to clear the code.

The only thing is I don't really know much about it but looking at old threads and pictures it looks like it could be the connector for the VSV part of the egr system? It's on a 2000 V6 Camry. If anyone could tell me what exactly it was that failed to get plugged back in from the shop and if that's probably why the egr code popped up that would be awesome. Thanks.

So after I plugged in the disconnected wire the check engine light came back on today and i had it checked and it was p0401 insufficient egr flow still. It was all fine before it went to the shop and barely has 100,000 miles on it. After finding that connector hanging loose i really dont trust this place. Is it possible if the hoses might not be going to the right places. I've read the entry about egr problems in the stickied thread up top but there isn't really a diagram showing where everything should be going.

Edit:

After looking around trying to track all the hoses around to make sure they were atleast connected I found another probable cause. The small hose in the picture below was not connected to anything either. which according to this link and the picture in it ( http://www.motor.com/magazine/pdfs/102009_04.pdf ) it is what they labeled #6: VSV vacuum output to EGR valve. Hopefully I didn't miss anything else and this problem goes away.

looks good to me now

lousy job that shop have done ... leaving things unplugged ... 1 EGR valve vacuum hose and 1 VSV for EGR electrical connector ... I would double check everything else once again.

+1, yes you fixed it , now that you have connected the vacuum hose that actually lifts/opens the valve everything should work
