Noob Needs Check engine help!!!!

Ok guys i need help bad here. I am working on my wife's 1997 Camry Le 2.2L. So i keep getting the same two codes for the egr value. They are egr valve insufficient flow. So have replaced the erg valve and the egr vacuum modulator. Also before i replaced these parts i cleaned out the intake manifold really good. I was sure to clean the port to the egr valve really well. I have checked all the vacuum lines going to the egr and the modulator but they are still good. I am at a lose guys and i don't know what else to do! Please help!!!!!

What are to two codes are you getting?

For a P0401 code; it's the EGR VSV most of the time. Cost me a $1 at the salvage yard to get another one. When this little valve gets sticky, it will give you the " nsufficient egr flow". It's connect by two hoses and one wire plug. With a 10mm socket, u-joint, 10" extension, racket, and the front wheels turned to the left; it took me about and hour to change it. A short drive and no codes

Here the pic of the EGE VSV (red arrow) on My Gen 4.5 5S-FE. It is behind the engine under the intake manifold.

Also, here's a DIY for a P0446: DIY : P0446 Charcoal canister VSV replacement
It could be a number things without the codes.

thanks a bunch my man. now my next question is this. Is the vsv the same as the vacuum control valve or the vapor canister purge solenoid? I am on a auto website and they parts look exactly the same. I looked online and i get mixed info which looks like either or. I want to get this fixed but not get the wrong part. I am at my wits end with this car.

The EVAP purge control solenoid is a simpler VSV. It opens/closes the vent hose to the throttle body.

The EGR on/off VSV has a cylindrical filter on one end and vents the vacuum (turning off the EGR control) by letting in air through the filter.

blackcaddy90. Can you let me know where you buy the part and how much? Was it hard to replace? How long did it take you?
