Poll : Air Bubble on Dipstick!

I know the answer already, but I am just curious what you guys and gals would think.

You pull your Dipstick out to check your oil before you start it. You have oil (full). You start it, and let it warm up to make sure the level is correct when warm. Once warm, you shut the motor off and pull the dipstick out. You notice five or six air bubbles on your dipstick

Is this normal ???

is it? no, oil cntains anit-foaming agents, lucas oil additives dont

Yeah before I moved to TX I had a customer complain about bubbles on the dipstick, and asked what they did most recently. They said they preformed an oil change awhile back and added an oil additive to the oil. They couldn't remember which one they used, but I changed their oil and presto. Problem solved.

It was actually a trick question! Kudos to chronoti for knowing it was an additive

Other things that may cause foam is if you overfill your crankcase too. But most of the time its an additive.
