94 Camry V6LE won't start

94 Camry would start and the battery is good. Trying to start it. Look's like no power
at all not even click. Then wait for a few mins sudden it work again.

Is that the starter problems ? I check the battery connection is clean.

Thanks !

hook up a multimeter (voltage setting up to 20V) and see what you are getting before cranking and what voltage it shows while trying to crank. you should see above 11V on shut off car (a little over 12V is optimal). below 11V and it won't crank or will barely "catch", but should click at least once.

if it holds and doesn't plummet to like 2V while cranking then battery is good.

try wiggling gear selector, perhaps it's your Park Neutral Safety switch not allowing to start the car? it wouldn't even click on crank attempt if that's the case.

Thank you guy for the quick reply. A few month back. After I fill up the car. I try to start the car and it completly dead at the gas station. Opps I said and 30 sec later it start. I have the same probem 6 - 7 yrs ago and they ( the shop) replace the starter and everything fine.

Today my son drove it to school. After school it don't start and ask friend to jump it. He told me the problem. I took a battery charge and trying to charge the car and the charge show full charge. I start the car and have no problem. 30 mins later I try to start it again and is complete dead. After a few try no go. And 30 mins later I try again and it start.

The battery is 2 yrs old and should be one. So I guess there is something to do with the
starter.

I just drove the car to my friend (Mech. Shop) and let him take a look tomorrow.
I also cover the Reg. with cart board a little since there is not enough heat when the temp is - 20c.
Today is 14+C and after I drove 30 km and I heard the Fan is very loud. I took the cart board out after. And hope he will bring me some good new tomorrow.

Once again thank you guy for the input.

yeah the intermittent problems are most annoying.

it reminds me when I had the positive starter wire sitting loose on the battery terminal wire (one stupid nut was not tight enough), similar to what you describe. check if ALL connections over there are tight and clean.

good luck.
