1999 Camry problems nonstop only 28,800mi

I was hoping any of you Camry enthusiasts can help us. We bought this 1999 Camry brand new on Oct 31st of 1998. Its had problems since about 8 months of age. Its always the idling. We've called 1(800)331-4331. Not much help. The first few times the dealer couldn't find the problems. Weather it be the really low brake pedal(still there), and the Check engine light(back again), and the dying while idling(happens every time not started for 12 hours). Keep in mind the car is either in the garage or in warm perfect CA climate under a car cover outside.

The car only has 28,800 miles. The problems with it are driving my parents crazy. The local toyota dealer near our house supposidly fixed the idle and the check engine lights but they are always back. The first they replaced the 02 sensor and installed a Rebuilt MAF. I can't see why the car has these problems even though its upto date on services. Uses 89 or 91 gas(even though CA gas prices are sky high) and its good gas(exxon/mobil,76 or shell). The dealer wanted 200 to look at it last time.

This has been the worst toyota we've bought. My dad has a 1992 Toyota Tercel which be bought December of 1991 with 3 miles and now currently with 190,000+ miles and the car still is driven on the freeway every day 60 miles. We also have a 1998 4Runner LTD 4x4 purchased new currently with 59,000 miles and no problems. But then we have a Camry which is the newest of the bunch and the most heapload of problems. When we asked about arbitration the dealer sort of lagged us on the steps...

dying while idling? how is the battery. cause the miles are reallly low for a 99 camry, and if you don't drive the car, the battery doesn't charge.
