Need Help with Shifter Cable Install
My son has a 1997 camry, its a 4 cyl automatic le. He was able to uninstall and install the new cable, he hooked it up to the shifter inside the car. When he tries to put it in park it doesn't seem to push the bracket on the transmission down far enough to put the car in park. I thought below the shifter cable bracket was another bracket that attached to the arm on the transmission, but he said that there wasn't. Can someone help? As you probably can tell I'm not a car type of guy, i'm trying to help him get some answers.
