1997-2001 Camry Ride height specification

I have searched high and low to find the Toyota specification for ride height on a 1999 Camry (USA - 4 cylinder w/14" steel wheels).

I am just trying to see how bad my springs are and if they need to be replaced. Actual height specifications and where to measure (Front and rear) would be greatly appreciated.

Currently, I have OEM struts and just under 60k actual miles. The struts seem fine, just the springs seem to be sagging - more in front that back.

Thanks for your help,

-GopherT

with springs youll notice a very sloppy ride before a drop in ride height. so how is it? is actual miles on the struts or the car (springs)? are these struts OEM spec or toyota OEM?

I used the vehicle height as an estimate. Measuring to the roof says I am about 3" low. I was having trouble believing the car has sagged that low. I am mainly having trouble deciding if the rear needs springs or just the front (an obvious lean forward when looking at the car).

The car was barely driven in the past 8 years - it has 60,000 total miles. The struts are OEM from when the car was new.

I was hoping there was a simple list of measurements commonly available from the service manual (e.g. 10" from ground to lower strut bolt; or 5" from top of wheel to high point in fender).

I haven't looked in a service manual for about 15 years and, now that my son started driving, I have renewed interest in working on cars (with him). Anyhow, I do remember seeing ride-height specs like this in factory service manuals for Fords (Pinto and Mustangs). It might be a thing of the past. Anyhow, thanks for your help.
