are RAYBESTOS wheel bearings any good?

swapping out bad bearings in front is raybestos any good or should i go with timkin or skf.was just wondering cause the raybstos are cheaper..any opinions??

Get OEM! I've read so many stories of aftermarket wheel bearings going bad very very quickly and some don't even fit properly.
Save yourself time and money and do it right.

Get Timken bearings. They are selective to what they put into their boxes. Often it's the OEM Koyo for Japanese cars and GKN for European cars.

Other aftermarket brands can use lesser bearings that I wouldn't spend the time to install.

Go with OEM and set the proper torque on the axle nut to get the longest life out of them. Sometimes guys just wail the nut on as hard as they can with an impact wrench.

I would get a Timken repair kit from rockauto, it contains a bearing, new hub and a clip. it's the best aftermarket quality probably and you can't beat the price, around $70 + s/h for a set (OEM costs around $160+s/h from dealer online for similar set), prices based on my 02 V6.

"Normally" only the bearing needs to be replaced, but in Fenixus' case the bearings seized and the car was running on hubs! So in that case it would have been cheaper and faster to buy the hub/bearing kits instead of hunting for one late in the afternoon.

And borrow an axle nut socket and torque wrench from Autozone's free loaner program.
