3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Since I have done and will be doing a lot of mods on my camry wagon (full lip kit, trd supercharger, fuel mods and SAFc install) I decided to start a new thread.
For now, here's the SAFC installed in the coin case location. You can also see my Pioneer AVIC-D2 which is an awesome radio with GPS and custom background pics and all. More pics of that to come.
Next will be pics of all my Projector fog light mods.
More pics of the wagon itself to come..

I will first list all the non-motor mods over the years.
1st- DEPO Clear Headlights. Cost 200+ dollars and was well worth it.
2nd - Underbody neon kit.. I know ricer.... Orange / Red paid 70$ and had integrated ballasts so no complex wiring, only 12 V to each neon.
3rd- Mags! 17" Fast wheels 17x7.5 and 215/45/R17 Nankang Ns-2 tires. Paid 800$ for the all sets. (rims only are worth 800$) Also painted calipers yellow to constrast the black rims.
4th- Custom mounted Alero Projector Fog lights. I bought these for 100$ at the scrapyard. They were pitted but had a good output. They were mounted by drilling a hole in a bracket that holds the bumper and a 6'' bolt with 5 nuts holds it all in place. Was hell to install and cut my hands a lot but the look turned out nice with yellow bulbs.
5th - Bi-Xenon Projector Retrofit. Was one of my best 200$ upgrades. These were Ebay projectors that came as a whole kit. Was easy as hell to install. You open the headlights ( oven trick) and put the end of the projector inside the 9006 or 9005 bulb hole. (For 9006 you obviously have to remove the cap, etc, etc.) I installed them in the 9005 (high beams) for a different look. A hole had to drilled for the wires for the CCFL halos but nothing hard and after everything is installed, the holes are completely hidden by the projector.
my sig is an example of this setup.
6th- Replaced the pitted alero fogs with same but clear lens blazer fog lights from theretrofitsource.com
Subscribed. ANY decent pics of your car? I can't see!

Forgot to post pics of boost gauge I have.
VDO 0-15psi Vision series.
Here's a pic. I like it since each psi is a lot on the scale
It will look something like this with the a-pillar pod gauge holder I got.. Photo is not from a camry but similar interior impreza. And it will paint matched to the interior, which is oak. Got the color codes from a site where a guy had a 3 pod pillar gauge on his camry.

SAFC wired up to ECU. All wires correctly wired up and everything is working. RPM signal works great and so does the A/F reading. Throttle position is in the down arrow mode (At closed throttle 3v and at open throttle around .4V). Will be very useful when I'll put it on a dyno...
All thanks go to Eye8pussies and 2wickedtoyz and they're 94 camry's and the sticky made on TN (SAFC Wiring Pin-Out for 94 1MZ-FE)
Took me roughly 1 hour of hard work in the mud.... every wire was soldered and taped and for the MAF wire that was tapped, it was soldered and heat shrinked.

I thought the one from a 94 accord was a better fit. Anyways I already bought a custom one which I will mold to fit. That will be the easy part as I do know the color codes and all. Thanks for the advice, though I already knew one was made since I read a complete install example on a 95 camry se I think. He used the 97-01 autometer pod and ran into a lot of work and said that one made for a 94 accord was closer.

Nope, at least as long as quebec roads stay as horrible as they are. Believe me, I'd lower it an inch and i'd probably destory my BUMPER every spring.... that's how harsh spring is here....
Everyone here repairs they're car every spring for loose suspensions and tie rods. I've been lucky this year too. I saw a neon the other day with front wheels like this // \\. It fell in a hole that was like 4 feet wide and 2 feet deep....
The lip kit will lower it overall but not too much...

Some word on the ebay projectors Iemegacool. Those projectors were RHD when they arrived. I had to reverse the cutoff plate and it broke off when trying. I had to bronze solder them so it would be heat resistant. For now no problem with them. The halo ballasts have broken down and the original ballasts that came with them had bad connectors. I replaced them with 55w ballasts and replaced the dual ballasts for the halos. I am also going to modify them to fit d2s bulbs (85122+). Will post up with pics of that as soon as I reveive the goods since freaking seller hasn't responded or shipped yet.
