Steering gear removal

Trying to fix my daughters car as can not afford to spend the 700- to 800- the mechanic wants. 1997 Camry. Sway bar is removed and now I am stuck. How do you remove the steering gear and mounting bolts? Are they locked somehow? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Steering rack is bolted to engine subframe just by two bolts (probably with 19 mm hex heads).
Nuts (you can see them from engine side) have welded washers and they resists against subframe - so you must unscrew bolts (looking from passenger's bay side).
It's not so easy to remove them, because of lack of space (on driver's side you must unscrew 10 mm bolts holding plastic cover, hiding some hoses, fuel lines, because you will not be able to completely remove bolt after unscrewing), but it's possible.

There is also joint on steering column (12 mm head bolt), you must unscrew that (attempt from the bottom of the car). To make it easier unbolt also steering joint inside car (it's close above brake pedal).
Now it's "just" question of unplugin' all steering rack oil hoses.
