3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
This is the vehicle (if you didnt know it's a 5spd)
Plans:
Exhaust (here 3/29 on this weekend)
Lower
Strut Bar (if can find one that fits)
It already has this
For the Suspension I'm looking at the Eibach Pro-kit for the Solara (Tire rack $234) or B+G springs for $209. Both say that they lower around 1.6 inches. Cant Decide. i havent heard of B+G personally so i dont know how good their product is (but its in the sticky on CL)
strut bar: i dont want an ebay one. I'm gonna try to track down a name brand.
I want to have this done by end of april for the big meets coming up in may-june
Go with an eibach pro-kit, you'll like the handling more from that. The lowering might not be as much as b + g but theres r&d involved so that they've been tuned to be car specific unlike other brands.

btw,
that's a clean ride!
the eibach's were probably what i was gonna go with. I dont wanna be super low cause im not doing a VIP and there's too many potholes. and the car would be perfect except for the mirrors being hella faded and a chip on the hood from these stupid kids playing with rocks. i'll fix them someday. and thanks for the compliment
I have to also say, my,.. that looks clean! In fact, colour, interior leather colour, 5spd, everything I can see is exactly the ideal project car I would love to start with.. Thats an awsome find.
I look forward to seeing your work.

Id have to agree with Silent runner. You have a great base to start with. Should be one hell of a ride by the time you are done with it. Good luck with the build.
