1997 camry, trouble shifting and RPM goes wild with temp guage
I have a 1997 toyota camry le (4 cyl, auto transmission).
For some reason my car has trouble shifting into 2nd&3rd gear (my guess).
At higher speed it the speed kicks in eventually and the car runs smooth. In the process of shifting gears the RPM goes really high and sometimes goes from low to almost fast wildly. The temperature gauge also is goes high. Also I'm pretty sure my gas is burning faster than it should be
I have done the following:
1.The transmission has been fixed.
2.I have installed a new Idle Air control valve
3. I have installed new spark plugs, wire, and ignition coil
4. I have replaced the ECU
5. I have a new air intake hose.
But the shifting error still exist.
I saw a site that said a solenoid wire may be corroded or not have a good connection. Before I go head first again in the hood, I wanted to see if anyone was having a similar issue.
