New Camry owner ready to mod

First ever toyota purchased....93 Camry V6 XLE

Where do I begin modding? What are the popular first mods that most begin with?
Looking to improve torque and horsepower via tuning and bolt ons mostly.
I've read through the FAQ's already. Now I'm wanting to hear from individuals so far as what they feel the essential first mods are when it comes to modding the Gen 3 Camry and specifically the 3vz-fe motor for improved performance.

Thanks
Roach

Thanks for the move. I tried posting there initially but got kicked off/logged out twice before I was done with my post so figured I'd give the New members area a try.

I appreciate the move to the Camry area for sure.

The body is on the verge of fair/rough. Could be worse could be better. Looks like it got caught up in a hail storm and a couple of very minor low speed contacts perhaps. Essentially no rust. Paint is shiny though scratches all about. The motor is smooth but has 180k on it. I'm trying to get ahold of the previous owner to determine if/when a timing belt has been replaced.

I've been reading that the 93 3vz-fe can easily be tuned to 200 hp and was hoping to come across a thread that mentions what steps are necessary to bring the motor up to the 94's 3vz-fe power levels.

Most people usually aim for rims first, then lowering/coilovers and then move over to headers/exhaust/Intake. But whichever, there isn't a real order of things on how you should mod your car. Mod whichever order you like. Welcome to TN!

Installed a bunch of parts that were worn to get the Camry back to road worthy status. Mostly brakes system, suspension parts. and a leaky powersteering pump got replaced.

ToysRme "Freepower" mods are next while waiting for my money tree to bloom again.

And I'm going to really put the squeeze on my Buddy that is a district manager for nationwide chain of autorepair shops to fab me up a quality Y pipe. Hint... they used to be called xxxxx Muffler. So I know they know how to do quality exhaust work.

I'm curious how much power we'll pickup between doing Toysrme"Freepower" mod along with an aftermarket Y-pipe.
