Opening up DEPO/TYC lights?

A good read of the thread search talks about lots of ways of modifying and playing with DEPO/TYC, alternative headlights (clear lense, black, chrome diamond etc.), but it never seems to get down to the actual technique used to bake/open them. Putting my headlights into a hot oven is a bit of a scary prospect.. what exactly are the temperatures, times, and technique required to pop open the lights, without ending up with a big melted mess?

Hmmm.. Interesting. Nobody wants to say anything about this. Is it that its kind of tricky? My projectors, with special, bi-xenon 1mega-watt pulse lasers are waiting for this secret trade information if anyone will volunteer it.

I've done it so much that I know it isn't a big deal.. throw the headlights in, make sure you take out any bulbs then throw it in and turn it on to 200 and wait 5-10 minutes.. check it to make sure it isn't melted. then take it out and pry.. its hard to describe the sealant but its not very strong. if you hold pressure on it, it slowly expands. it doesn't really pull back if that makes any sense.
