3rd Generation strange problem

i`ve been having this problem with my car (93 v6 camry) everytime i drive and step on gas the car will bogg or spudder until i hit 2k rpm or so then it`ll run smoothy but once it changes gear and the rpm goes back to 1k or so the car will spudder again. the rpm needle doesn't run smoothy until 2k rpm anything under that the rpm needle will just spudder.

any help or ideas as to why or what the issue is? btw i cleaned tb and iav, but i couldn`t fully clean the iav bacause half of the iav is pre loaded with the spring and i didn't want to take thay apart

my gen4 1mz did the same thing and it turned out to be an issue with the EGR valve sticking open. it was dumping a lot of spent fumes into the cumbustion chamber when it should have been closed. past about 2500 it was fine, no issues.

Purchase a subscription to AllData for your 93 camry and then take a look into replacing the EGR that was mentioned. The 3vz-fe has a documented history of having problems with it's EGR valve from the little bit that I've read so far.

Here's a quote from Edmunds.com website...

An occasional problem on this vehicle is is failure of the EGR Valve.

The cost to repair the EGR Valve is estimated at $120.89 for parts and $45.00 for labor. All prices are estimates based on $65 per flat rate hour and do not include diagnostic time or any applicable sales tax.

Here's a link to the actual page. They list a couple of more common problems for the 93 Camry XLE for you as well.
