I assume you have the V6 model.
The SE models have a lower final drive ratio. Can't recall the ratio, but I remember reading it in the old reviews in car mags.
At first, I thought it was just on the 5-speed manual, but it looks like the automatic models have a different ratio also as the part # are different as you can see.

If you're interested, there's a Motorweek 1993 Camry SE review on youtube. Around 2:43, it mentions that the SE models have a different final drive ratio.
Having said that, there's not really an economical way to change your diff on any FWD car :-(
If you're gonna do this much work, I would do a 5-speed swap also.
