egr valve positin sensor circuit malfunction????

HELLO,

I have a 97 camry with about 150k miles on it. Runs well. My ChecK engine light came on. Auto zone ran the codes as P0135/P1410. po135 is oxygen sensor. p1410 is listed as egr valve positin sensor circuit malfunction.

My questions are
1) How important/urgency is to change these? Can i wait a month?
2) Would Changing the EGR vavle senor fix the issue. Or would i have the change the whole EGR unit itself?

3) would replacing the EGR Valve sensor or unit fix the issue with oxygen sensor?

4)Would fuel injector cleaners clean this issue?

5) Also on a separate note, my trac off light went off when i hit a bump. Is this related or separtate issue?

Thank you for all your help

My '99 Camry V6 got the same P1410 code last year. Drove with it for about a year, but I was pretty certain that it was the only code. Last weekend, I finally bought the EGR valve position sensor off Amazon and replaced it. Pulled the wire off the negative terminal on the battery to get the MIL light to turn off. I've been driving it all week, and the light hasn't come back.

I think there's another way to get the MIL light to turn off. One of the fuses can be pulled, but I'm not familiar with which one. If you use my way, you'll lose your radio presets.

I fixed it only because I live in California, and I'll need a smog check soon.

As for your other code, hope someone else can chime in. I haven't had experience with that one yet.

You needed a preassurize air to push debris from the valve. WD40 can come handy too in this part. Goodluck if that would work.
