4th Generation Wiring Experts Help Please!??

Hey so here's the story,

Awhile back I got 2 Red Led strips from walmart and hadn't had the time or good weather to put them in. Also I planned to make a DIY for installation of LED strips in the front foot wells... so removed the plastic and from the negative wire that goes to the dome light by the so that it can turn on and off when I open the door. then I wrapped the negative wire from the LED strip around that one just temp plan to solder later. Then I took the positive from the LED strip and removed the one of the 12v+ fuses from just under the steering wheel to the left and wrapped it around and the plugged it back in. good news was it works, though only when the key is turned to on, or just after you've turned the car off. So I does anyone know how i could wire it so it draws power even when the key isn't turned to on so that it can light up when the doors are opened?? well this is only my first problem... Now when i turn the car on the LED strip hyper flashes along with the clock... And, the dome light now doesn't turn on when I have it in "door" mode and the doors open or when in "on" mode, for the dome to turn on it has to be in "door" mode and I have to press the courtesy light button for the front by the mirror...

So how can I solve the issue of drawing power when the key isn't turn to "on"?
What could be causing the hyper flash and how can I resolve it?
And wound that fix the clock, courtesy and dome light issue??

Thanks SOO much Guys!!

and when i have all the kinks figured out i'll make a detailed DIY on how to do it right

~Kyle

Take off the dome cover and remove the dome light. You'll see how it works. It has 2 ground points, one the ground wire which uses the door switches and another is a bolt the bolts to the roof for the on position.

I dont remember exactly but I had the opposite issue when I wired in map lights, they would only turn on with the door open. You need to ground to that bolt I think aka ground to any bolt/clean metal on the entire car.
