power window cable track

well i took the motor and regulator out and fixed the cable on the regulator but now i am having trouble with how the cable goes around the gear on the motor. i should have left it alone when cable was messed up but i just had to keep messing with it and the back flew off where the cable wraps around the white gear. i am looking at it and have no idea what i should do.

some bad pictures with camera phone. hope they are good enough though.

where the cable came out of the window track that attaches to the window. little hole in the middle can see the ends of the calbe. the top came out and got stuck on the gear at the top of the track.

the gear

the back of stuff and the gear and cables around where they should be on the other side.

Oh man, those are a Pain in the ass to wind back up. I suggest getting a new motor / regulator combo if you want it to work correctly.

I tried to get it wound back up for about 3 hours and it didn't work so i just purchased the whole assembly. more expensive, but easier by 1000000000%

You have to wrap it so that there is no slack on the Regulator. I noticed that if you Flip it over right towards the end, it seems to tighten it up.

They mass produce them, so they have a machine that automatically winds them and installs them.
