1995 Camry Possible Caliper sticking

So on Wednesday, April 13th, I replaced my front rotors and pads. I used brembo sport drilled rotors with toyota genuine pads. I wanted to replace my guide pins but Autozone only gave me one set of guide pins, so I ended up not replacing the brake hardware. However after these last two days after install I have noticed that I get a slight brake pad smell from the right front brake. The rotor also has a slight discoloration ring around it now. The right side seems a bit hotter than the left side, but not by much. The steering doesnt pull to the right. I'm thinking if I have a bad caliper or if I have some sort of brake line issue. Any other things I should look for? By the way, my friend's shop did the work, but I always see them do all the work, and I didn't see them skip any parts during pad install or make any mistakes. The car does have 340,900 miles. I appreciate any thoughts guys!

Was the slide pins lube on the calipers? At 340,900 miles, the piston and seals in the caliper may stick. I would try to flush/bleed the front calipers to remove any dirt that may be in the line/hose that may be preventing fluid to reture fromo the calipers. Then tear the brakes down to check the caliper and hardware. It's normal for some smell with new brake pads but a purplish discoloration could mean incorrect pads installation or sticking brakes.

With that many miles, I agree, Flush and bleed the brake system.
It will take a little time. But if you get a buddy to help pump the brake pedal, it will go much quicker.
What color is the brake fluid in there now?

My caliper piston got stuck after I replaced my old Camry's rotors and brake pads. It was stuck for a good 20 miles. There was so discoloration from my right front and the heat was excessively hot. I basically took the caliper off and used the C clamp to push the piston back in. I did that about 5 times then it was find. I was going to bleed the brake system but didn't.

Thanks for all of your replies guys! Today we tore everything apart and found that the sliders were sticking on both sides. We replaced them with Toyota Genuine Hardware parts and lubed them with lithium grease. The shop was also nice enough to flush and refill my entire brake system with new brake fluid. I also went ahead and did my tire balance and rotation, wow what a world of difference it all did! I had a slight wheel shimmy and now everything feels as if the car just rolled off the assembly line! It's hard to imagine this car has 340,000 miles. Too bad toyota doesn't build them like this anymore. I really do think these cars will be awesome classics later down the road. I wont ever sell this car. I just hope my 5SFE Doesn't blow...

Again thanks for everyone's help!

One thing however, the brake system should use only greases approved for them. For example, the excellent Permatex Ceramic Extreme. This grease has the ceramic particles that act like moly in CV joint greases. (Yes, I'm switching recommendation from the Permatex Ultra beacuse while it was fine for milder climates it didn't hold out well for TN members in colder climates).
