Rim fix? Yes, No?

So my left front rim got curbed one night when I was driving and noticed the wobble but just looked at the rim this morning l. So as you can assume the is a dent in it and it's bugging me cuz i notice it now and I know what's causing the shaking...
I saw this >>http://www.ehow.com/i/#article_5049738 And was wondering if anyone our there has done this before or should I go to my rim shop and see what they can do for me?
Thanks for your time TN!
~Kyle

It shouldn't cost much to fix if it is fixable. Post a picture, someone should be able to tell you. I know there are a few guys on here who used to do this at some point.

There are 2 places in Maryland that are the best.

Both are nationally recognized.

Wheel Worx (No 3 piece wheels)
http://www.whlworx.com/

Ye Olde Wheel Shop
http://www.yeolewheelshop.net/

Will warn you if the lip is fused stainless steal..... haha, its going to get expensive. They can fix anything almost.

Along time ago, in a land far,..far away I accidently went through a transit bus trap at about 50mph in my 86' Prelude. Amazingly the cars suspension was all ok, but it smacked up my 15" wheels (13" were stock), pretty bad. A local shop specializing in wheel repair, did an amazing job of setting them right again, for a price that was about 50% of the cost of a new set of rims. A Moose ran out in front of me, happens alot out here.. But seriously, shops with the right techn. can do a great job of fixing expensive or not so, wheels at a cost that is generally cheaper than replacing them.
