3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Heres a couple of pics of my Gen3 with minimalist 15" inchers for now. 215-60's on 15x7" wheels. they make the car corner a whole degree better than it has in the past, without any feeling of stress, maybe an extra 0.5G. They defininitely give the car a wider track and footprint combined. They are going to get me around for awhile, as I try to find my perfect set of 17" rims that say richness and luxery. I'm going for the most rich and luxerious Camry Model that Toyota may have ever released in this time period. Then I what to take it one step further in performance/underneath, while pickking up on some current car fashion trends. More bling (note added chrome in front), headlight detail (note lenses and sides). I want to make the '92-95', Camry XLE-SE, that Toyota was never made to really challenge the best luxery sport sedans of the period. Thats my vision, it a bit different from the racer look, try to think about making the car look like it was originally a $60,000 Edition, instead of the about $35,000, car it was orignally here. I'm looking for suggestions and ideas to enhance this theme?!

I like 5 spoke rims, they look nice no matter what size.
I'd say this, if you like it then keep the wheels and enjoy the car.
However if you don't like it anymore and have funds (hundreds) then start looking for 18'' wheels and compatible low profile tires with no rubbing issues.
15'', 16'', even 17'' (depending on tires used) look all similar depending on tire used and if car is lowered or not. So far I learned the best looks is always with 18'' rims and low profile tires, all the smaller rest is similar to each other.
nice doggy
and a very nice and clean car

In general, I like the style of the wheels, but seeing so many great wheels on these cars in the forum makes it hard to be satisfied with the look of 15's It won't be on the top of my car list of this to do, but if I do see some say.. at least 17's I must have, I prob. will eventually.
I know its not a popular accessory, but yes I've added some crome trim to the bumper, and the outline of the grill. I think its in touch with most modern sport sedans and adds some character to the cars front end lines.
It kind of grins a you now.
To bad about the dog, she loves riding in the car, but hates working on it.

Yeah it's at the bottom of my to do list as well
I will need to replace rims & tires at some point, because current OEM 16''s on V6 are badly beaten up (2 worst in rear) and scratched, all of them, badly
someone before me loved to park the car sideways to a curb ... and rub it
current tires should do well for next 2-3 years, so there is still time to decide ... and collect funds
considered the price of 18'' rims and nice matching tires of good quality and parameters (traction, wear, high end all season for me is a must), I'd rather keep thinking about it then go shopping

Ya, I like the idea of chromed rims! I even briefly thought about a set of Crager SS Style 17's, but that would have been waaaay to old school. This car deserves something a little more sophisticated. The car is actually that dark emerald green that only really shows under bright, direct sunlight. So I thought about gold BBS style wheels and lower body striping/pinstriping and such, but that would prob. not mix quite right with the chrome thing. OhOh! I just saw a set of chrome BBS style 18" wheels on a local BMW, I'm going to have go back and take a pic.
